Alex Appleton Jewellers of Wincanton is a well established family business we specialise in bespoke handmade jewellery and our passion is creating for our customers a wearable work of art. Alex commenced her career in the jewellery industry over 20 years ago, working for her parents formerly known as T and S Appleton Jewellers of Gillingham and Dorset. The business has been based in Wincanton since 2004.
Alex trained and qualified as a Professional Jeweller and Gemmologist she opened her own business in Wincanton Somerset in 2004, she is highly regarded for her extensive product knowledge and excellent customer care. In 2015 - 13 Market Place was purchased and pain painstakingly resorted and we are now proud to make this our new shop.
We are a service oriented traditional jewellers and customer satisfaction is our number one priority. Like a watch overhaul, jewellery needs occasional servicing and regular cleaning. Maintaining claw tips, stone mounts, ring shanks and clasps is essential. A loose stone now could mean a costly repair (or replacement) in the future. Our resident goldsmith is always on hand to give advice whenever necessary and estimates for all repairs are available by request.
Our theme for unique, individual and high quality is continued throughout our stunning range of stock, much of which is designed and handmade by ourselves. We are proud to exhibit some beautiful jewellery collections by independent designers. If you are looking for a special gift you will not be disappointed with what we have to offer and we cater for every budget. We present all of our jewellery in a gift box and a free gift wrapping service is at your disposal.
